Compound Rolls can be produced in two ways, Either by conventional double-pounding techniques or by centrifugal casting processes. On the working layer it consists of an abrasion resisting material and in the core is made of high strength and tough metal. Therefore, high quality of abrasion resistance as well as tough strength appears the exquisite effect upon compound roll. 　　Distance from Roll Surface in mm 　　Decrease of hardness from roll surface to care The hardness of surface can be from 60 shore up to 90 shore (HRC 43-62). It is often to be used for rolling wire rod, and also suitable for cold and hot rolling on steel plate; nonmetals (copper, aluminum); paper, rubber oil mill and foodstuffetc.
